We are sad to announce that on May 31, 2023, at the age of 74, Marsha Joan Short of Gary, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lavetty Essary and Billy Essary; her brother William Essary; her son James W. Short Jr.; and her grandson Jonathan Travis (James Short).

She is survived by : her daughter Margie Blankenship (Ron); her daughter-in-law Jennifer Short; her son Jeffery Short (Kristen); her sister Sheila Maynard; her grandchildren, Daniel, Sabrina and Taylor; her great grandchildren, Emalee, Rachel, Jonathan, Mira, Alex and Dean; her nieces, Tina Braklcy (Kirby), Tammy Hajduk (Mark) and Terri Rae Maynard; and her close friends, Wanda Blankenship and Jerry Allan.
