We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2024, at the age of 60, Mary Elizabeth Ramirez (Gary, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Walter Brenk; her great-grandparents, Sexton and Lillie Alexander; her grandparents, Wallace and Flora Alexander; her uncle Chester Brenk; her parents-in-law, Roel and Jovita Ramirez; and her brothers-in-law, Jesus and Roel Ramirez, Jr..

She is survived by : her mother Francis Maurine of Brown County, Indiana; her sisters-in-law, Aurora Rodriguez and Guadalupe Salinas; her children, Christopher Ramirez of Lake Station, Mary Ramirez of Portage, Jennifer Ramirez of Lake Station, Stephanie (Meagan) of Girard and Sarah Ramirez of Midvale, Utah; her siblings, Annette Jemenko (Carl) of Gosport, Gary Brenk of Monrovia, Melinda Opachan (Mark) of Stafford, Virginia, Tammie Burbridge (Greg) of Grand Rapids and Marlene Guggenheimer of Wheeling; her grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Savannah, Anthony, Gracelynn Ramirez, Isabelle, Raegan, Felipe, Ireland Ramirez, Ariana, Alina Tinoco, Luciana, Amelia Chavez, Julianna, Lilian, Julien, Emma and Alexander Ramirez; her pet Jaxson; and her great grandchildren, Ruby Vaughn, Christopher Ramirez, III, Ezeryah Ramirez, Saint Fitzgerald, Alia Stivanson and Sophia Ramirez. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home (4201 W Ridge Rd, Gary, IN 46408). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
