Sharon Taylor Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2025, at the age of 73, Sharon Taylor (Gary, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennye Huntley and Arthur Huntley of Gary, Indiana.; her parents-in-law, Jessie Sr. and Georgia Taylor; her daughter Stephanie Taylor (Gorham); her sister Ophelia Garmon; her nephews, Terry Garmon and Sean Borom; and her great-nephew Terrance "Buster" Garmon.
She is survived by: her husband William Taylor; her children, Billy Taylor (Tracy), Brandon Taylor (Maria), Sheila Taylor and Jared Taylor (Kymberly); her grandchildren, Byron, Nigel, Sergio, Kesha, Maria, Oba, Omar, Liam, Hayden, Elis, Naomi, Klarc, Klayr and Jorja Taylor; her great grandchildren, Jayden, Rachel, Riley, Isabell, Gabriella, Oba Brice, Jr., Zoie and Monty Taylor; and her siblings, Diana Borom, Gwendolyn Garmon and Aurthur Huntley, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Logan Park (1513 Polk St, Gary, IN 46407). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
She served in this role until she could no longer perform her duties due to her Alzheimer's diagnosis.
