It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip W. Smith of Gas City, Indiana, who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Philip has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Smith and Phyllis I Smith (Holman). He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Crist; his children, Anthony Smith and Renee Foy (Jon); his granddaughters, Ashlee Mill (Ian) and Erika Foy; and his siblings, Judy Wright (Don) and Bob Smith (Phyllis).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel (400 E Main St, Gas City, IN 46933). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
