Lori Rachelle Newell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lori Rachelle Newell of Gaston, Indiana, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard E. Johnson and Carole E. Johnson (Janney); her grandparents, William "Bill" Johnson and Nina Johnson; her stepgrandmother Effie Mauck; her grandparents, J. Paul and Helen Janney; and her aunts, Pat Miller and Nancy Johnson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Tammy and Big Brothers Big; her pet Simon; her husband Doug Newell; her godmother Cindy Morgan (Steven); her uncle Steve; her aunt Kathy Janney; her brother-in-law Mark Newell; her nephew Hunter Newell; her cousins, Jay Janney (Danielle), Stuart Janney (Maria), Rodney Miller (Toni), Jana Arbogast, Ethan and Cathy Jo Mills (Steven); and her close friends, Teresa, Jackie, Beth, Ginger, Jo Ellen, Karen, Rene and Tracy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Prairie Grove Church (16775 N 775 W Rd, Gaston, IN 47342). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Richard E. & Carole J. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Wes-Del Superintendents office, 10290 N. Co. Rd. 600 W., Gaston, IN 47342 or to help the family with funeral expenses in care of Gant Funeral Homes.
