He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Cahoon (Powell); his children, Shawn Cahoon (Carson Reed), James Cahoon (Angela) and Diane Moon; his grandchildren, Marshall Cahoon (Shana), Logan Cahoon (Caitlin), Isabelle Cahoon and Annabelle Reed; and his great grandchildren, Maddox and Chrysanthemum.

These included the Finis & David Fellow Award, the Humanitarian Services Award from the Kentucky Lions Club Foundation, and the distinguished title of Kentucky Colonel.
