He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Knasel and Emma Stinson Knasel; his siblings, Wayne Knasel Jr., Donald Knasel and Doris Wells; and his grandchildren, Michael Knasel and Clarrissa Hardesty.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Knasel; his children, William Knasel Jr., Cathy Hardesty (Don) and Carl Knasel (Cindy); and his sisters, Jeanette Humphrey, Joann Johnson and Peggy Roberts. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
