She was predeceased by : her parents, Leo Vernon and Mabel Schmidt (Cooper); her husband Gordon Vaughn Smith; and her siblings, Dale Schmidt, Virginia Shaffer, Harold Schmidt, Bobby Schmidt, Dorothy Vance and Betty Rush.

She is survived by : her sons, David Allen Smith (Rainee) and Donald Eugene Smith; her grandsons, Travis Smith (Samantha) and Zander Smith; her great grandchildren, Mia, Macie and Westly; her stepgrandchildren, Molly and Kennedy; and her sisters, Mamie Kyle, Grace Moser, Ruby Cook and Charlotte Supples.
