It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Ann Bates of Goshen, Indiana, born in McMinnville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Thomas H. Burks; her brother Ralph Thomas (Burks); and her granddaughter Ashley Wagner. She is survived by: her husband Steve R. Bates; her sons, Steve Wenzel (Maureen), Jason Wenzel (Barbara) and Sean Wenzel (Beth); her stepchildren, Amy Bates and Aaron Bates; and her sisters, Billie Freeze, Linda Lock (Chuck) and Louise McDowell (Bill). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
