With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald E. Burtsfield of Goshen, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025 at the age of 92. As Donald departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Donald leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Burtsfield and Dorothy Burtsfield (Mauzy); his wife Evelyn Stroup; his son Timothy Burtsfield; and his siblings, Mary Rope and Lyle Burtsfield.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Germano (Brandon) of Huntertown; his daughter-in-law Greta Burtsfield of Millersburg; and his sister Sue Groff of Goshen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
