He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Sheline and Clara Sheline (Howard). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sheline (Saggars); his son Thomas Sheline; his grandson Garrett Sheline; and his siblings, ZoAnn Myers and David "Rick" Sheline.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be directed to Goshen First Church or the Indiana State Police Chaplaincy Program.
