He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Kemper and Glenna Kemper (Bunting); his wife Iris Ann Akers; his daughter Glenna Kemper; his siblings, Eula Mae Cole and Eugene Kemper; and his stepson John Ferrell.

He is survived by: his children, Albert Kemper (Paige) of Goshen and Barbara Given (Bruce) of Midlothian, Texas; and his brother Brycie Kemper (Linda) of Osceola. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
