He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Martin and Sylvia Martin (Schrock); and his brothers, L. Brian (Sue), Dennis (Carol) and Stan Martin (Julie).

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Martin (Mierau); his children, Rochelle Martin (Matt Graham), Joel Martin (Marita), Carrie Martin and Jared Martin; and his grandchildren, Morghen, Jan, Gwynn, Taylor, Brice, Madison, Lauryn, Adam, Stephanie Randolph (Micah) and Lisa Gremore (Donovan).
