It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Laverne Deal in Goshen, Indiana, who passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Cress Gilbert Deal; his daughters, Christine Krasner and Pamela Sparks; his close friend Carol Harman; his siblings, Barbara McCleary, Janice McCraner, James Carlson and Wayne Deal; and his grandparents, Alonzo Deal and Dallas Deal (Grigsby).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Darlene West; his children, Kathy Utley (Greg), Kathyjo Tesini, Tammy Czarnecki (Robert), Thomas Deal, Gilbert L. Deal, Jr. and Melissa Gray (Benjamin); his sisters, Alma Kitchen (Bob) and Kathleen Dean; Cindy Hayes (Phil Roth), Cristi Ganyard (John) and Jon Harman (Katy).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Gabe.
