The passing of Helen E. Bomberger of Goshen, Indiana, born in Scarborough, Ontario leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 21, 2025 at the age of 98. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Reesor and Ina Reesor; and her sister Erma Reesor. She is survived by: her husband Elton R. Bomberger; her sister Doris Garber of Wellington, BC; her brother-in-law Elton; her children, Irv Bomberger (Judi Margolis) of Barrington, IL, Rohrer Bomberger (Arloa Bontrager) and Mary Beth Schlabach (Rod Schlabach); her grandchildren, Ashley Bontrager (Josh Oswald), Myken Bomberger (Suzanne Geary), Reese Bomberger (Allyson Howe), Ellen Schlabach, Sadie Schlabach (Jeff Shoopman), Ian Bomberger (Abbi Hawkins Bomberger) and Biz Bomberger; and her great grandchildren, Cyrus Bontrager, Carson Bomberger, Juniper Oswald, Hayden Bomberger and Tobias Oswald.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home (1911 S Main St, Goshen, IN 46526). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the College Mennonite Church (1900 S Main St, Goshen, IN 46526).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Helen's memory be sent to the College Mennonite Church Migrant Resource Fund (https://collegemennonite.org), as she too was an immigrant, Canadian citizen, US resident and faithful servant to her Lord and Christ.
