He is survived by: his children, Stephen Bertsche (Karmen) of Middlebury, IN, Laurie Bertsche (Mary Ann Boyle) of Bellingham, WA and Carol Kauffman (Jeff) of Fort Collins, CO. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
