With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joe L. Yoder of Goshen, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joe left this world on September 27, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi D. Yoder and Elizabeth Yoder (Hochstedler); his wife Rebecca Miller; his children, Levi, Joseph Yoder and Fran Yoder; his siblings, Mattie Miller (Ezra), Edna Herschberger (Jonas) and Mel Yoder; and his brother-in-law Allen Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Maggie Mast (Jerry) of Millersburg, Andrew Yoder (Diana) of Goshen, Larry Yoder (Esther) of Middlebury, Marlin Yoder (Eloise) of Shipshewana and John Yoder (Shelly) of LaGrange; his daughter-in-law Irene L. Yoder of Montezuma, GA; his siblings, Andrew Yoder (Viola) of Franklin, KY, Henry Yoder (Karen) of Middlebury and Fannie Miller of Shipshewana; and his sister-in-law Rosie Yoder of Arthur, IL.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairhaven Mennonite Church (13513 State Rd 4, Goshen, IN 46528). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Thomas Cemetery (13513 State Rd 4, Goshen, IN 46528).
Memorials may be given to Christian Aid Ministries.
