He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Hoover and Kathryn Hoover (Schmucker); his wife Georgia Hoover; his brother John Hoover; his foster sisters, Shirley Reichelt and Gladys Hoover; and his siblings-in-law, Rufus Martin, Frank Richards, Marty Martin, Arthur Hoover and Esther Hoover.
He is survived by: his children, Melodie England (Richard), Kathleen Scataglini (Sergio) of Mesa, AZ, Lynette DeYoung (Earl) of Geneva, IL, Timothy Hoover (Kimberly) of Marshall, WI and Philip Hoover (Joy) of Covington, LA; his siblings, Thelma Martin, Ruth Richards, Eva Borntreger (Basil), Marie Troyer (Ronald), Lois Martin, Floyd Hoover and William Hoover (Nancy); and his close friends, Stephen Spite and John Mullet. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
