He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Wheeler (Hardin); his children, Dennis Wheeler (Cheryl) and Lori Wheeler; and his grandchildren, Joshua Randall (Jade Dewald), Ashley Randall (Donny Betts), Breeana Wheeler, Frankie Lonigro (Cassie) and Crystal Grace. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
