He is survived by: his sons, Michael Schmidt (Rockell) of New Orleans and Rodney Schmidt (Debra) of Wakarusa; his grandchildren, Brent Schmidt, Jenna Schmidt, Levi and Lance Miller; his sister Judy Leeser; and his brothers-in-law, Richard and Robert Witzig (Rose Bush). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
