She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse "Alvin" Swihart and Katherine Swihart (Conklin); her husband Ernest Eugene Whirledge; her son Richard Whirledge; and her sisters, Dora Cripe, Marilyn Yoder, Kenlyn "Woody" Sorg Haack and Deborah Troyer.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Whirledge (Peggy) of Rochester and Ed Whirledge (Vicki) of Etna Green; her grandchildren, Amy Hamilton (Andy), Lesley Bass (Tyler), Abby Raatz (Bobby), Beth O'Kelly (Rich), Andrea "Annie" Schneider (Joe), Erin Kent (Andrew) and Jenna Thomas (Clint); and her great grandchildren, Grace Hamilton, Sam Bass, Willa Hamilton, Bradey Raatz, Fenn Hamilton, Cooper Raatz, Colton Kent, Bailey, Kent, Rosie Schneider, Corbin Appleseth and Maren Appleseth. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Goshen Church (1200 Berkey Ave, Goshen, IN 46526).
