He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Daniel and Anna Belle Berkey (Juday); his son-in-law John Guantonio; his siblings, Thomas Warren Berkey and Mary Kathrine Lyman Bartholomew; and his brother-in-law Richard Berkey.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie Guantonio and Ralph Berkey, Jr.; his granddaughter Andrea Guantonio; his great grandchild Emily Barrick; and his siblings, Belva Belcher of Goshen, Ruby Miller (Dewayne) of Goshen, Deloris "Dede" Beemer (Gilbert), Vada Berkey and Jeff Berkey (Betty).
