He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Kindel and Meral Kindel (Kellogg); and his stepson Robbie Morris. He is survived by: his wife Barbara E. Kindel (Dolan); his children, Richard F. Kindel Jr. (Veronica) of Goshen, Robert Kindal (Nancy) of Chiefland, FL, Jim Kindel (Katherine) of Greensburg, PA and Jilann Shultz of Mishawaka, IN; his stepchildren, Bryce Morris of Goshen and Monica Morris of Bloomington, IN; and his siblings, Larry Kindel of St. Johns, MI and Kathleen Kinsey (Walter) of St. Johns, MI. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
