He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Sr. Bridwell and Mary Bridwell (Peck); his former wife Mary Ann Davis; his wife Sue Cobb-Adams; his son Jeffery Bridwell; and his siblings, Tom, Willie Jr., Dorothy and Maggie.

He is survived by: his children, Darrell Bridwell (Liz), James Bridwell (Mary) and Darlene Swaenepoel (Jack); and his stepchildren, Clarence, Greg and Samantha. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
