He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Kauffman and Glada Kauffman; his brother Merrill (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Kauffman and Jim Jacklitch.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Shana Hodel and Jeff; his grandchildren, Anika, Emily (Matt Rollmann), Christoph, Kate, Julia and Anya; and his siblings, Polly Kauffman, Sandy Kauffman, Kathy Hochstedler (Wayne) and Bert Jacklitch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship (2509 Berkey Ave, Goshen, IN 46526). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen College or Mennonite Central Committee.
