She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smeltzer and Ida Smeltzer (Culp); her husband Charles Kent Elion; her son Lyn J. Elion; and her stepson Charles Kurt Elion.
She is survived by: her children, Scot Elion (Angie) and Joyce Stewart (Eugene); her stepson Mark Elion (Brenda); Edith Hyche (Vernon). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
