He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi D. Schmucker and Susie Schmucker (Hershberger); his wife Edna Ellen Slabach; his son Steven Ray Schmucker; and his brothers, LeRoy, Freeman, Ivan, Lloyd and Levi Lee Schmucker.
He is survived by: his children, Marion Schmucker (Emma) of Goshen, Robert Schmucker (Wanda) of Goshen, Maurice Schmucker (Norma) of Goshen, Sharon Lambright (Glen) of Goshen, Lydia Ann Hershberger of Millersburg and Pauline Stutzman (David) of New Paris; his siblings, Rudy Schmucker (Mary) of West Union, OH and Ida Mae Schmucker of LaGrange; and his sisters-in-law, Ida Schmucker of LaGrange and Viola Schmucker of Goshen. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 151 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
