He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ernest and Mary Alberta "Bird" Pettifor (Long); his wife Donna Rowald; his son Gerald Nield; his former wife Madaline Babcook; and his brother Keith Pettifor.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Cronkright (Mike), Bonnie Vreeman (Ken) and Neil Pettifor (Chris); his grandchildren, Timothy Cronkright (Jessica), William Cronkright (Krista), David Cronkright (Lindsay), Kristen Drier (Matt), Alexander Petit, Daniel Petit, Elisabeth Mapel (Richard "Alex"), Jeremiah Pettifor (Ava), Rebecca Etter (RJ) and Nathanael Pettifor; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Ethan, Mathias, Elise, Gideon, Jaden, Isaiah, Avianna, Zachary, Caius, Carolyn and Waylon; his stepchildren, John Neitzke (Sue), Mary Kay Valkuchak (Neitzke) and Allen Neitzke; and his sisters, Alice Worley and Erma Giem (Dan). He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
