He is survived by: his wife Mary Baker; his sons, Drew Whitehead (Rachel Slucki) of Elburn and Derek Whitehead (Sherry) of Columbus, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Karina, Erika, Carson and Reece Whitehead; his stepgranddaughters, Liza Blandford and Katelyn Barton; and his siblings, Jo Ann Whitehead (Bette Jo Green) of Jamaica Plain and Murvel Whitehead (Mary Lou) of Warsaw, Indiana..

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren (2810 Beacon St, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
