It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Nichols of Granger, Indiana, born in Mishawaka, Indiana, who passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hixenbaugh and Alice Hixenbaugh; her siblings, Bobby, Ron Hixenbaugh, Alice Hixenbaugh, Mary Lou Kizer, Debbie Kartley and Patty Kline; and her son-in-law John Mikalian.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Nichols; her daughters, Michele Layher (Mike) and Sue Mikalian; her grandsons, Jacob, Dylan, Noah, Brady Layher, Jack and Sam Mikalian; her siblings, Danny Hixenbaugh, Don Hixenbaugh (Kathie) and Jane Hixenbaugh; and her siblings-in-law, Greg Kizer, Joe Kartley, Peggy Hixenbaugh and Charlene Hostetler (Bob).
