It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Hums of Granger, Indiana, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Hums and Marie Hums (Ludwig); and his brothers, Paul Hums (Judy), Robert Hums (Thyresa) and Richard Hums.

He is survived by : his sons, Scott Hums (Shalah) of Westfield, IN and Kyle Hums (Ashley) of Granger; his grandchildren, Bailey Hums and Handel Hums; his stepgrandchildren, Bo Budzielek, Raelynn Budzielek and Grant Budzielek; his siblings, Mark Hums (Janice) of Montgomery, IL, Terri Desatnick (Jack) of Chillicothe, IL and Anne Housemeyer (Kevin) of South Bend; his nephews, Christopher Hums (Jacqueline) of Montgomery, IL and Brian Desatnick (Amy) of Bloomington, IL; his niece Amy Fenolia (Jake) of Laramie, WY; and his goddaughter Andrea Desatnick (Keri Tosh) of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by his wife and children.

Memorial donations can be made in Chuck's name to Christ the King Catholic Church, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Northway Church of Christ.
