He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Potter and Donnabell Potter; his brothers, Thomas Potter and Raymond Potter; his grandson Kyle Potter; his stepfather William "Chisel" Sardi; and also Donnabell Sardi.

He is survived by : his brothers, Ricki Potter and Jim Sardi; his wife Gale Wooley; his children, Peter Potter (Dawn), Holly Williams and Heather Stepp (Tim); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Robinson (Rich), Brandon Potter, Heavin Mullendore (Luhk), Tyler Fordyce and Tamarra Marietta; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Connor Robinson, Wayluhn and Addellah Mullendore.
