She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Kompar and Marjorie Kompar (Homan); and her half-brother Mike Kompar. She is survived by: her husband David Lee Steinbauer of Texas; her children, David Bogaert (Lisa) of Austin, TX, Jennifer Saari (Chris) of Fortville, IN and Eric Markle (Lori) of Granger, IN; her brother Bob Kompar (Loyce) of Georgia; her stepchildren, Lori Burke (Bob), Dana Simanton (David) and David Steinbauer, Jr. (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Annabelle, Sadie Bogaert, Lindsey Rothhaar (Kyler), Turner Saari, Conner, Evan and Ava Markle. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County or to the American Diabetes Association.
