Matthew White Jr. Obituary
Matthew Ray White, Jr., 19, of Granger, IN, passed away in a fatal car accident on Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born on June 12, 2002 in South Bend, IN.
Surviving are his father, Matthew Ray White, Sr. and stepmom Holli Tyran-White of Granger, IN; brother, Mason White and stepbrother, Cody Tyran of Granger, IN; sister, Brittany (Ryan Hilderbrand) White of South Bend, IN; mother, Amanda Jones of South Bend; half-sister, Christina Brittan of South Bend; half-brother, Josh Brittan of South Bend; paternal grandmother, Penny Keller of South Bend, IN; step-grandparents, Richard and Kay Tyran of Edwardsburg, MI; aunt, Maxine (Michael) Andert of Mishawaka, IN; uncle, Gary Stanfield and aunt (Kristen Jones) of Granger, IN; step-uncle, Randy Tyran of Granger, IN; uncle, Randy Finney of Mishawaka, IN; nephew, Nolan Marshall Kayne Hilderbrand; cousins, Blake Andert, Brent (Heather) Zebell, Sarah (Tony) Bledsoe, and Randall Finney; step-cousins, Lilly and Karagan Tyran; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marshall Ray (Butch) White, who meant the world to him.
Matthew graduated from Granger Christian School in 2021, where he played basketball and soccer. He attended Grace Church. He enjoyed working at Mission BBQ, where he made a lot of friends. Matthew was well liked and adored by many. He had a heart of gold, which was generously shown through his gift of being a tissue donor through Gift of Life; Matthew will live on, through those he helped save. Friends and family were everything to Matthew, and he will be remembered for his fun and outgoing personality.
Friends may visit with the family at Grace Church, 52025 Gumwood Rd. Granger, IN 46530, on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM, as well as on Saturday, October 9th from 9:00-10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Grace Church. Graveside services and burial will take place at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, where Matthew will be laid to rest next to his grandfather, Marshall Ray (Butch) White. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
