He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Stopczynski and Mary Catherine Stopczynski of Granger, Indiana.; his wife Gisela Stopczynski; and his brothers, Jim and Bill Stopczynski.
He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Stopczynski and Debbie Smogor (Dan); his stepdaughters, Kim Cole and Melissa Barrier; his grandchildren, Austen Hesch (Julie) and Lauren Mieras (Jordan); and his siblings, Carolyn Malstaff (Phil), Linda Einfalt (Booge), John Stopczynski (Jeannie), Patty Snyder (Rodney), Joan Thomas (Jack) and Pam Stopczynski. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mc Gann Hay Granger Chapel (13260 IN-23, Granger, IN 46530). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
