David Johnson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Johnson of Greencastle, Indiana, who passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Johnson and Elinor Johnson (Schwier); his son Dennis Lee Johnson; and his son-in-law Bruce Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson (Duncan); his children, Pam Bowman (Jamie), Keith Johnson (Lori), Angie Haltom (Rob), Greg Johnson (Karen) and David Johnson (JaDeen); his siblings, Larry Johnson (Joan), Jane Cheshire, Jerry Johnson (Sue), Phillip Johnson (Theresa) and Kevin Johnson (Lori); and his daughter-in-law Jana Grimes. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the David and Joyce Johnson family endowment at the Putnam County Community Foundation, or to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
