He was predeceased by: his parents, Hanson A. Blackburn and Gladys M. Blackburn (Armstrong); his wife Thurby Jean Eldridge; his sons, Carey, Christopher and Cory; his grandchildren, David Phares and Toni Grady; and his brother John (Janice).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Shonna Johnson (Jeff), Cory Barrett (Amy), Heather Barrett, Barbara Stewart (Johnny), Jessica Stewart (James), Christle Blackburn, William Blackburn (Dee), Cora Deakins (Chad), Joshawa Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn (Tanna), Christopher Blackburn and Cayleigh Deakins; and his sister-in-law Cecelia Blackburn. He is also survived by grandchildren, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
