It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lela Darlene Brattain of Greencastle, Indiana, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Edgar and Lela Cash (Arnold); her husband Ray Brattain; her daughter Lori Rowings; and her siblings, Donald, Verlin, Russell Cash, Freda Minkler and Betty Jordan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Pingleton (Keith) and Tina Sillery (Matt); and her grandchildren, Mandy Nelson (Erich), Randy Jackson, Nathan Rowings, Lisa Oliver (Chad), Lindsey Fenwick (Anthony), Danielle Dodson (Mike), Samantha Jones (Levi), Kylie Rowings, Ethan Sillery, Brody Jackson and Lane Sillery. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home (4 Percy L Julian Dr, Greencastle, IN 46135). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Darlene to the Alzheimer's Association.
