He is survived by : his sons, Jonathan Cope and Jacob Cope; his siblings, Lydia Chubb (Douglas), Donald Wayne Cope Jr. (Kathy), Debbie Crowe (Junior), Steve Cope (Debbie), Richard Cope (Susan) and Annette Henshilwood (Jay); his siblings-in-law, J. C. Norman and Athena Cooper (Nick); and his parents-in-law, Jerry and Gerrie Norman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
