He was predeceased by: his father Gerardo Diaz; and his brother Omero Diaz-Gomez. He is survived by: his mother Anita Gomez; his wife Lizbeth Figueroa Avila; his children, Gerardo Diaz-Figueroa, Rodolfo Diaz-Figueroa, Sebastian Diaz-Figueroa, Rodrigo Diaz-Figueroa and Camila Diaz-Figueroa; and his siblings, Luis Hector Diaz-Gomez, Cristina Diaz-Gomez, Ana Karen Diaz-Gomez and Tanina Martinez-Gomez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephew.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home (4 Percy L Julian Dr, Greencastle, IN 46135). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (202 E Washington St, Greencastle, IN 46135).
