We bid farewell to Stephen Leslie Shotwell of Greencastle, Indiana, born in Lexington, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 26, 2025 at the age of 74. Stephen Leslie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Ernest and Mary Helen Shotwell (Eads); and his brothers, Mike and Barry Shotwell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Newton; his siblings, John Shotwell, Teresa Mitchell and Susanne Duff; his children, Nicholas Shotwell (Melissa) and Stephanie Cooper (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Savannah, Luke, Tucker and Ryder; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Megan, Drew, Jason, Melissa, Joshua, Seth, Matthew, Jared and Lily.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home (4 Percy L Julian Dr, Greencastle, IN 46135). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
