With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Lee Burns of Greenfield, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Edward Lee departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of our hearts. Though Edward Lee may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Belcher and Virginia Lee Belcher (Neville); his wife Pansy Burns (Dick); his brothers, Eugene and Terry Burns; his grandson Brent Burns; and his nephew Tim Burns.

He is survived by : his children, Becky Marvin (Rick), Edward "Duke" Burns (Nena Bragg) and Linda McPherson; his cousin Merle Bowman (Marsha); his sister Barbara Briening; and the mother of his children Barbara Burns. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

“My Condolences for the loss of Ed Burns!! Ge was a great mechanic and good friend of my dads. He always had a good word when I met up with him after not seeing him for awhile! He was my neighbor when i was growing up as a child and im sure he wasnt fond of me then as i was disrespectful but we became friends aa becoming a mechanic myself, he was very wise in the field and in life and his good spirit will be missed!!”
