He was predeceased by: his mother LaWanda Knight; his wife Virginia Hicks (Bauer); his sons, Steven Hicks and Earl Hicks (Buck); his daughters-in-law, Penny Hicks and Vicki Elder; his brothers, Jackie Williams, Donald Williams, James Williams and Dick Williams; and his grandparents, Herbert and Ruth Hicks.
He is survived by: his daughter Judith Tribble; and his grandchildren, Ross Hicks, Holly James, Kelley Hicks, Aaron Gartin, Leslie Dickson (Charles), Jenna Hurley (Terry), Justin Hicks (Lisa) and Kayla Gartin. He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren.
