He was predeceased by: his mother Sherry Barton (Freeman); his aunt Carol Ann Taylor (Barton); and his father-in-law LeRoy Richardson. He is survived by: his father Steve Barton; his wife Jane Barton (Richardson); his sons, Tom Barton (Callie) and Jake Barton (Haley); his grandchildren, Luka LeRoy Barton and Hudson Hollin Barton; his siblings, Tammy Stunda (Chris) and Adam Barton (Julie); his grandmother Marcella Freeman; his aunts, Becky Freeman (Candy Smith) and Debbie Shipp (Kevin); his uncle Tom Barton (Janice); his mother-in-law Marcia Richardson; and his in-laws, Missi Cross (Pat), Chrysanne Harper and Lea Anne Hunt (Ty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory (1484 US-40, Greenfield, IN 46140). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the McCray Cemetery (7400 IN-109, Wilkinson, IN 46186).
