Susan (Fleming) Rice Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan (Fleming) Rice of Greenfield, Indiana, who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Susan (Fleming) Rice to pay them a last tribute.
Though Susan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Susan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Fleming and Josephine "Jo" Fleming (Thornburg); and her brother David Fleming. She is survived by: her husband Benjamin Rice of Greenfield; her children, Sherrie Stafford (Scott) of Greenfield and David Rice (Meg) of Springfield, Missouri; and her granddaughters, Leah Stafford, Rebecca Rice and Elizabeth Muskrat (Josiah).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cross of Grace Lutheran Church (3519 S 600 W, New Palestine, IN 46163). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
