In loving memory of Barbara A. Risse of Greensburg, Indiana, who departed this world on July 23, 2025 at the age of 56. Barbara leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her parents, Richard Berkemeier and Carolyn Berkemeier (McDonald); her son Derrick; her brother John Berkemeier (Jama); and her nephew Liam Berkemeier. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (302 N Franklin St, Greensburg, IN 47240). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greensburg Decatur County Animal Shelter in Barbara's memory.
