He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lecher and Anna Lecher (Schulte); his wife Luella Harpring; his sons, Nicholas and Bernard; and his siblings, Joe, Paul, Leo, George, Norbert, Herman, Harry, William, Ida Nobbe and Freida Nobbe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Emsweller (Chuck) and Julie Keillor (Tom); his brother Jim Lecher; his grandchildren, Chad Emsweller (Jennifer), Ashley Hungate (Adam), Saint Paul and Danielle Whittaker (Brad); and his great grandchildren, Eddie, Joey, Ellie, Paul Hungate, Charlie and Julia Emsweller.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Indiana or the Little Souls project in care of St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
