He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph John and Nellie Jane Sterchi (Hodel); and his wife Barbara Ann Brame. He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Leslie (Charles) of Naples and Sarah Schroeder (Courtney) of Greensburg, Indiana; and his grandson Stephen Sterchi (Beth Anne) of Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials to be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or Decatur County Community Foundation.
