John Michael Tumilty Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Michael Tumilty of Greensburg, Indiana, who passed away on June 25, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Tumilty and Rose Tumilty (Klene); his wife June Taylor; and his sisters, Roselyn Tumilty, Linda Tumilty, Patricia Upton and Betty Hamilton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Overlock (Fred), Angela Tumilty and Teresa Hahn (Michael); his grandchildren, Mariah Gerlach (Joshua), Derek Overlock, Collin Overlock (Maja), Brandon Overlock, Kelli Senteney (Austin) and Megan Hawks (Adam); his great grandchildren, Sophie, Isabel and James Gerlach; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Gabriel, Benjamin Senteney, Theodore and Charles Hawks; and his siblings, Thomas Tumilty (Marilyn), Margaret "Peg" Hash and Sharon Tumilty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (302 N Franklin St, Greensburg, IN 47240). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1331 E Hunter Robbins Way, Greensburg, IN 47240). The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery South Vine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Decatur County ARC and/or St. Mary's Catholic School.
