He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Best and Alma Mae Best (Clark); his wife Mary Lynn; and his brother Rick Elliott. He is survived by: his children, Robert Best (Kim), Tracy Ruble (Roger) and James Best (Tammy). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren; and his many great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Health Heart Center in Indianapolis, an organization close to the family's hearts.
